Introduction to the theory and practice of acoustic design in architecture. Explore the basic concepts of acoustic science and the regulatory framework that defines the requirements and design assumptions. Analysis and study of the basic principles of architectural acoustic design in applied examples through modelling and simulation of acoustic performance with appropriate software and/or other representational tools and instruments. Alongside acoustics, the course will develop and explore the issues of natural and artificial lighting respectively.
