The creation of a new node from scratch with the aim of its modern and safer/uninterrupted operation using a modern platform was considered imperative, since the previous node was now of outdated technology.

The project was implemented in the context of the daily work of the contributors (Faculty Members, ETEP and IDAX), members of the School of Architecture.

The initial planning and development of the hub took place during the period 1999-2000, under the supervision of the Library-Documentation-University Publications and Publications Committee of the Department.

The project was financed within the framework of the EPEAEK project “Modernization of NTUA library – Action 7: Organization and operation of a specialized documentation-information unit of the Central Library Annex (Patisia Complex – Department of Architects)”.
