Detailed investigation and documentation of a topic that is part of the content of the courses of the School’s Sections. It is carried out in the scientific areas of one or more Sectors or in collaboration between lecturers of the Sectors of the School and lecturers of other Sectors of the Foundation. The lecture is given by one or two students. It is possible, in case of increased documentation requirements, to be prepared by a group of three students, after approval by the supervisor and the Department to which it has been registered. The title and content of the lecture are declared by the student’s application to the Department of his/her choice and approved by the Department after the recommendation of the supervising lecturer. Lectures are presented during the scheduled periods (February-March, May-June and November-December) and after approval of the supervising lecturer, which is communicated in writing to the Secretariat one month before the presentation period. The thesis is presented in front of an audience, in the form of a one-hour lecture. It also includes a text booklet following the essay model (with references, bibliography, illustrations, etc.). It is evaluated by a three-member committee, one member of which is the rapporteur (one of the supervisors, if there are more than one).
