Short CV:
Marina Moretti was born in Athens, Greece. She graduated from the school of Civil Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 1987. She obtained her Ph.D (1997) from NTUA, with the subject: Seismic behavior of Reinforced Concrete (RC) Short Columns. She has performed experimental and analytical research on RC structural elements subjected to seismic forces, including short columns, coupling beams, RC joints, behavior of RC infilled frames, retrofit and strengthening through FRP jacketing. Foreign languages; English, French, Italian, German.
Professional experience in the design and construction of RC buildings the period 1987-2015 (private office). Broad teaching experience since 1990 consisting in seminars for civil engineers on new codes and seismic design principles. In 1998-2015 she has taught in the Department of Civil Engineering in the University of Thessaly, Volos, and has supervised undergraduate and graduate thesis.
She is associate professor in the department of Architectural Technology, NTUA School of Architecture (2015-now). Teaches subjects of Structures, assists in courses of architectural design regarding the decisions in the selection of structural system, and supervises Ph.D theses.
Author of numerous scientific papers in peer reviewed journals, and in the proceedings of national and international conferences. H-index 9.
