Appointed professor at the Hellenic Open University in “Environmental design of cities and buildings” (2001-2017), and at the University of Thessaly in “Urban Planning” (2001-2005). Chairman of the Management Board of the Private Low Entity “Environmental Awareness Park Antonis Tritsis” (2010-2011). Chairman of the Management Board of the Public Law Entity “Green Fund” under the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (2011-2013). Research, scientific work, and publications, mainly in the fields of urban planning & urban growth, urban environmental planning, land use planning, open space management, urban regeneration, systems & design methods, urban transformations, urban planning institutional framework, spatial impacts of socioeconomic transformations.
