Short CV:
Dr. Konstantina Valerianou, since 1998 (and since 2012 as a Laboratory Teaching Staff, Government Gazette 1011, vol. B΄, 23-4-2014), until today, is active at the Laboratory of Planning Methodology and Spatial Regulation (www.ntua.gr/arch/spacereg) – Department of Urban and Regional Planning – on issues of spatial analysis, strategies and planning.
The research and teaching activity focuses mainly on the reading, interpretation and evaluation of contemporary spatial-social transformations, adopting the position that in order to understand and interpret the processes of production, configuration and evolution of space, as well as planning strategies, it is necessary that geo-spatial data be correlated with multi-level socio-economic and cultural parameters. In this light, the research and teaching process adopts a ‘unified’ interdisciplinary approach to space, identifying the specificities of individual spatial formations at each stage of the developmental stride.
The research experience, feeds all these years the activity in the undergraduate (compulsory and special/optional) courses, which are coordinated/participated in by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, as well as in the postgraduate courses of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programmes, in which Dr. K. Valerianou participates.
