This new course takes as its starting point the recognition of multiple ideological conflicts that characterize the modern era. A field of interest is how these conflicts leave material imprints on the public space of the city.
Investigation, both at the level of general theoretical and at the level of aesthetic or compositional negotiation, of the possibility of approaching the concept of time and its function as a basic factor in the practice of Architecture and Art.
The course focuses on the complex interrelationships between the text and the space of the city. The central research question is: how can we creatively relate the city as an archive to spatiality and narrativity, with the aim of enriching the available tools and methodologies of architectural design?
