Short CV:
Eleni Alexandrou is a Dipl. She is an Associate Professor at the School of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens. In 1991 she graduated from the School of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens and in 1997, after working for 4 years in the U.S.A., she completed her postgraduate studies (MArch II) at the Graduate School of Architecture and Urban Design, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), in the field of Architectural Technology and Sustainable Development. Bioclimatic Building Design. Since 2004, he has been teaching at the School of Architecture, NTUA (Section IV – Advanced Technology Compositions, Building/Architectural Technology Area).
He participates in the full range of undergraduate courses in the area and teaches in 2 Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Programmes of NTUA (Materials Science and Technology & Environment and Development). Her main research interests are related to sustainable environmental design of buildings, bioclimatic design and the energy and thermal behaviour of buildings, especially historic and traditional buildings. He has participated in research projects of the NTUA. He has been running an architectural practice since 1998 and has worked with the architectural practices of Kyriakos Krokos, Nikos Valsamakis and McCulloch Associates in the USA.
