Course content:
Integration of a new public building (cultural, educational, social, etc. character) into an existing environment with spatial qualities and important architectural values. Documenting and maintaining these values in an analytical-interpretive way. Emphasis on issues of perception and appropriation of the space, synthesis of repetitive elements and organic relationship between indoor and outdoor space, integration into the neighborhood environment and the urban fabric. The theoretical and design issue of "integration" and the "environmental" dimension is treated not as a special case of architectural design, but as a universal condition and a more general theoretical framework for making sense of architectural creation. The method of theoretical and design approach, depending on the emphasis on the individual parameters, is distinguished in three directions.
