Short CV:
Dimitris Antoniou studied Architecture at NTU of Athens (1989). Master of Architecture in the Urban Landscape USC, Los Angeles (1991). Master of Science in Real Estate Development and Valuation, NUP (2017). Worked as a Junior Designer in Athens and Los Angeles (1983-1992). Show-Set Designer at MCA/Universal Studios Hollywood (1992-93). As a partner of “Theros Architecture” (1994-98), designed various private projects (houses, cinemas, commercial, industrial, etc.). Designer of over 150 projects, independently or in collaboration. He collaborated with Kisho Kurokawa for the building of the Embassy of Japan in Athens (2003). Award-winning architect (ten prizes in European architectural competitions). Since 2000, he taught as an Assistant Professor of Architectural Design and Building Technology at UPatras, DUTh, Drury Univ. Missouri, Neapolis University Paphos. Tenured Assistant Professor at UPatras (2014-2023). Elected as Assistant Professor at NTUA (2023). Acted as a member of thesis review committees, competition juries, Do.Co.Mo.Mo., Urban Land Institute. Int’l Associate AIA (American Institute of Architects). He was a focal point for SDSN (Sustainable Development Solutions Network), a UN organization, for UPatras and NUP. He organized architectural workshops in Greece and Cyprus. He is a co-author of two educational architecture books. His projects, articles and book contributions have been published.
