Short CV:
Miltiadis Katsaros teaches courses & studios in the domains of building tectonics, science, & technology in architectural design, energy-performance and sustainability, architecture and AI.
He is the Head of the ‘Acoustics Research & Simulation Laboratory’ since 2018. He has been a Visiting-Professor at the University of Cyprus, and an Adjunct-Professor at the University of Patras.
Supervisor in under/postgraduate and doctoral theses, workshops, student-competitions (2 awards) and seminars in Greece and abroad; His scientific activities include participation in research-programs, conferences, in Greece and abroad, membership in governmental, technical, and professional committees/boards; he is the author or/and co-author in book-chapters and various papers in scientific journals, etc.
He has participated (alone or in partnerships) in 19 architectural competitions in Greece and abroad, with 10 distinctions, (5 of them awarded first prizes); he has received a fellowship from the Fulbright Foundation (1991-92), fellowship from the University of Pennsylvania (1991-92) and fellowship from the Institution-of-National-Scholarships-of-Greece (1997-98); he was the recipient of “Α.Ploumistos-NTUA” Award (1993).
He is the founder of ‘M2K Architects’ Firm since 2000. In this professional context he has designed & supervised, either individually or in partnership, several projects (150+), in Greece or abroad, with an estimated overall project-value of over 250M Euro. His workload consists of civic, educational & research buildings, regeneration projects of urban-areas, transport infrastructure, offices & retail, housing developments, single-houses, industrial-buildings, hotels, restoration and retrofit of traditional or/and historic-listed buildings. As a consultant, has an extensive experience in project, contractual and legal management and in real-estate due diligence.
